Late and reblooming daylilies can survive a light frost, but cold and shorter days produce smaller, paler flowers.

Like iris and gladiolas, daylilies will continue to bloom indoors, each bloom for only one day, however. Cutting stems with reasonably mature buds before a frost is another way to prolong your enjoyment of these wonderful flowers.
